BIOGRAPHY

DAMOU Justain BARRO is a recognized expert in the field of public finance, monetary policy and the governance of regional financial institutions. He held strategic positions within the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), where he held the responsibility of Acting Governor, a very high-level position in the financial architecture of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). As such, he contributed to the continuity of regional monetary management, the stability of the banking system and the institutional credibility of the BCEAO in a context of institutional transition. His leadership ensured the coordination of monetary policies and the confidence of financial players in the sub-region.

With solid experience in financial regulation mechanisms and macroeconomic management, Mr. DAMOU Justain BARRO brings strategic expertise in the conduct of monetary policies, banking supervision and the management of high-level financial institutions.

At the same time, he is the founder and head of COGENTE office, an expertise and strategic advisory structure specializing in economic governance, finance and institutional support. The firm operates in Burkina Faso and the UEMOA region, offering financial governance consulting services, prospective analysis, organizational support, management and internal control, as well as training and capacity building.
